Hi There! Thanks for dropping by to know the mind behind this blog. It’s a real pleasure to have you here.

You can call me “Frugal Expat”. I am a working expat, who recently embraced the life of sensible frugality here in United Arab Emirates.

Also, I am a writer by heart but a corporate slave in reality. I accept online writing projects to pacify my pursuit to live my long overdue dream job – a freelance writer. Hence, oftentimes you will find me writing and working at home during weekends, public holidays and wee hours.

Indeed, I am a passionate slave in my writing career unfortunately at the moment it is the misery in the corporate world that brings home the bacon.

Anyway, this blog “Frugal Expat” aims to provide local information about living and working in UAE.

    Hello there! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a message on my chat box. I appreciate your blog and the freelance writing sites that it is leading me to. I’d also like to break into international freelance writing.

    By the way, my husband also works in one of the big hotels here in Manila, so we kinda have a lot in common. :)

    Cool! I am an ESL teacher in San Francisco, and Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and of course the UAE and larger Middle East are targets for all these teachers that I train. It seems like Abu Dhabi would have an interesting expat scene, no?
