Today morning I was caught in surprise as I stepped out from our building. I could not believe what I saw – the buildings and streets were soaked in heavy rain.
What a beautiful chilly rainy Monday!
As I walked my way to the office, I started to feel nostalgic. I missed those days when heavy rains lashed our streets back home. The “after rain” moment is always a breathtaking experience for me. It is a pleasure to look at the garden, the trees, the flowers and the streets that are all soaked in rainwater.
Their color looks more intense. It seems that a new life is breathed into them. The garden is greener and the flowers are livelier. The rain seems to dust them off and their natural beauty just comes out.
Well, I am imagining that setting back home where the surroundings are greener than here.
It rarely rains here. I am talking about a real one, not drizzles only. So when it rains, I personally savor the “after rain” moments.

Stories like these, they help us realize that we take some things for granted. Some days, we just hate the rains here in the Philippines, when you guys out there are silently praying for one.
@ Maricel: Indeed.. Sometimes we take for granted what we have and we just learn to appreciate it once it is missing or gone.
Great photos of Dubai. Your last one looks quite green and lush. Maybe it is just the rain….
Really looking forward to our first decent snow here in Toronto – look forward to it every year.

@ Cubiclefreeman: Thanks for the visit and a snowy Merry Christmas there!
We also have a storm coming where I am now. It’s a rainy Christmas, but doesn’t matter right? Everything looks and smells so fresh after heavy rains!
@ Aleah: True but as long as it is not a devastating storm..
